When I decided to make my cut over out of windows to Ubuntu 10.10 about six months ago everything wasn’t all super simple right off the bat. As with anyone who makes a fundament change of thier day to day computer there is always a learning curve.
Which is why I wanted to post this, since it was one of the few quick and easy solutions to add a full file path when using Nautilus (the file explorer used in Ubuntu).
gconftool-2 --type=Boolean --set /apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_location_entry true
You can read more about it here.
