Could not load file or assembly '"PopcartMainSite (Ryan Dunn's conflicted copy 2010-07-31)"' or one of its dependencies. The given assembly name or codebase was invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131047)
I got this error when I was hopping around computers with a .Net project I was working on. This error was driving me nutz because the project was a very very simple one. Well turns out that since I was moving around to different computers at some point .Net created a second assembly.
The solution is simple enough, just go to the BIN directory of your project and there you will see a couple files that will be called Conflicted Copy with the computer’s name attached to it. Just delete them and rerun the project. .Net will see that file are not there and remove the reference. From there you should be back in business!
